HyperFi is looking to solve the problem of building a fast, flexible, and scalable platform that can handle real-world complexity, and needs a QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to own test strategy across the stack and help the team move faster with confidence
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles
- Proven success building or scaling E2E frameworks in a modern web stack
- Experience integrating with CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions)
- Strong comfort with test code and scripting — ideally in Python and JS
- Familiar with load/perf/security testing approaches and best practices
- Highly collaborative — you see test coverage as a team sport, not a silo
- GitHub Actions (CI/CD), React frontend, Python + REST/gRPC backend, Postgres + async message queues, Terraform, GCP, staging/prod environments
Responsibilities
- Design and build a modern, scalable E2E testing framework across frontend and backend
- Automate flows that span UI, API, database, and background jobs
- Integrate with GitHub Actions for pre-merge and post-deploy validation
- Establish standards for regression testing, load testing, and security verifications
- Track test coverage, identify blind spots, and drive a zero-surprise launch process
- Work with engineers to embed testability and observability in everything we ship
- Champion a culture of testing early, breaking things before users do, and building with confidence from day one
