Apple's Health team is looking to ensure their Health experience is rock-solid and customer-focused by hiring a Software QA Engineer to qualify critical software and frameworks during all stages of software development.

Requirements

  • Experience working in Software Quality Assurance on iOS or similar
  • Proven experience creating test plans for new products and features
  • Previous work with regulated medical devices is a plus
  • Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results with multi-functional teams
  • A passion for health and health-related technology
  • Independent thinker with the ability to proactively triage, investigate, and debug difficult technical and UX problems autonomously as well as collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Functional testing of Health Software features on Apple’s OS platforms, often across concurrent release vectors
  • Execution of automated test scripts and analysis of their results alongside focused, creative manual testing
  • Design and implementation of test plans and test cases
  • Risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system
  • Maintain a qualitative, high level understanding of your areas of responsibility
  • Investigation and debugging on Unix based systems to triage difficult problems and work towards resolutions

Other

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
  • Self-directed, creative, and comfortable with change and ambiguity
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills are all essential
