Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta) is looking to solve the problem of ensuring high quality for its WhatsApp mobile application by hiring a QA Engineering Lead.
Requirements
- Testing and debugging Web or Mobile Application for iOS or Android
- Black Box & White box test strategy planning and execution for both Functional Testing as well as E2E Release Testing
- Testing background in at least one of the following: Functional, GUI, Integration, BAT, Black Box, Gray Box, Exploratory, Regression, or Smoke
- Testing on Mobile platforms: iOS and Android
- Testing on Desktop Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, and Unix/Linux
- Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, REST, JSON, and JavaScript
- Development methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, BDD, and continuous integration
Responsibilities
- Become a technical expert in the WhatsApp mobile app and source of information to WhatsApp Customer Operations team.
- Drive QA testing and bug bases with internal resources, as well as third–party vendor teams.
- Represent and advocate quality for products and features, assess risks, and formulate test strategies to ensure shipping features with a high quality bar.
- Partner closely with the engineering and product teams in planning, creating, and executing functional, regression, verification, and end- to- end release test plans.
- Investigate, triage, and escalate issues surfaced from test runs during feature/product beta and alpha stages.
- Define quality metrics and implement measurement to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of WhatsApp’s QA efforts.
- Continuously improve the overall efficiency of the ProdOps QA testing and triaging process, while updating and evolving the team’s workflow’s documentation.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Management, or related field, and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation
