MAG Aerospace is seeking to hire a QA Test Engineer to join their team to create test plans, procedures, and execute test events on numerous SATCOM software-centric systems for a large Army program.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Test Engineer or similar position
- Ability to write clear and complete test and installation procedures
- Understanding of IP Networking
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Server 2012/2016/2019)
- General knowledge of databases
- General Cisco switch knowledge including WAN concepts
- General knowledge of McAfee Endpoint Security
- General virtualization experience including VMWare ESX, Hyper-V (or other virtualization platforms)
- Knowledge and/or experience with test automation tools/suites
Responsibilities
- Write and/or review test plans, test procedures, and installation procedures
- Execute installation procedures and test procedures on the numerous systems in a laboratory environment and record results
- Determine courses of action when encountering issues and translate to documentation such as problem reports
- Troubleshoot issues to determine root cause analysis
Other
- Daily customer interaction within government facilities will be typical.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
- Ability to re-prioritize tasking on short notice and identify & communicate the impact of change
- Quick learner, creative, resourceful, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
