Heidelberg Materials is looking to develop a Quality Control (Q/C) Apprentice to ensure product quality and consistency in their Asphalt line of business
Requirements
- Strong interest in materials testing and construction quality control
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
- Solid communication and documentation skills
- Capable of performing physical tasks in varied environmental conditions
- Willingness and ability to learn technical procedures and pursue certification
Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting and testing materials to ensure product quality and consistency
- Operate and maintain lab and field-testing equipment under supervision
- Accurately document test results and report any variances or irregularities
- Support quality control initiatives and learn compliance requirements
- Learn from experienced technicians with the goal of achieving QC Inspector certification within two years of commencing employment
Other
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Expectation to pursue the QC Inspector certification within two years of commencing employment
- Bachelor's degree not required, but role may require additional schooling or coursework, which is covered by Heidelberg Materials
- Ability to work in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
- Must be able to perform physical tasks in varied environmental conditions
