Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is looking to solve the problem of ensuring the quality of its steel products, specifically in the power distribution market, by hiring a Quality Lead to oversee all aspects of quality, including fit and function, along with documentation compliance.
Requirements
- Associate's degree with at least 3 years of quality control/Non-Destructive Testing experience, OR at least 5 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing/fabrication facility.
- 5+ years of experience with AISC or ISO quality systems.
- Ability to interpret codes and standards, shop drawings, and customer’s specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- NDT Level II in Ultrasonic Shear wave, Magnetic Particle and Visual Testing (preferred)
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of AWS D1.1 code (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of quality management systems, best practices, and processes
- Contain, evaluate, and disposition nonconforming products; investigate the root cause of nonconformances.
- Assist team members with completing any certifications necessary to perform their duties.
- Train teammate on quality requirements, procedures, testing, and usage of measuring tools
- Identify potential areas of risk and make recommendations for solutions.
- Identify process improvement initiatives and help execute projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC)
- Work with the plant team on root cause analysis and corrective action resolutions.

- BS in Leadership or Business Administration (preferred)
