IonQ is developing the world's most powerful full-stack quantum computer based on trapped-ion technology and is looking for a QEC researcher to contribute to the design of IonQ fault-tolerant quantum computer by conducting research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing.
Requirements
- Strong expertise with QEC simulation, physics simulation, Stim, Monte-Carlo simulations.
- Strong publications and conference talks in quantum error correction.
- Experience in quantum error correction, logical operations and decoders.
- Solid mathematical background in linear algebra, finite fields, probability theory, graph theory and standard techniques used in quantum computing
- Strong expertise with QEC simulation, physics simulation, Stim, Monte-Carlo simulations
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design of core components of our fault-tolerant quantum computer architecture such as quantum error correction protocols, logical operations or decoders.
- Contribute to the development of the simulation tools of the quantum error correction team.
- Contribute to research papers.
