Northrop Grumman is looking to solve quality control issues in their spacecraft components manufacturing process, specifically in the Deployables team, to ensure high precision products conform to established company and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a similar in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • FMEA, RCCA, Risk management, or Quality auditing experience
  • AS9100/ISO 9001 auditor certification/experience
  • Experience in materials testing methods, procedures, failure modes, environmental effects

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements program quality plans, schedules, and procedures to meet BU objectives using statistical quality control data, lean program concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
  • Review and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, customers, vendors, and subcontractors, to ensure quality requirements are met effectively and efficiently
  • Investigates quality-related problems, identifying root causes, driving the RCCA process, and developing effective disposition and corrective action strategies for recurring discrepancies
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions and modifications to existing processes to enhance product quality and performance
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to product quality
  • Evaluates conformance to established company and regulatory standards of deliverable items, including but not limited to materials, equipment, tooling, data/documents, composite, rigid and ultra-flex components and sub-systems

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree, and 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or related field; an additional four years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • US Citizenship is a requirement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across functions
  • Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
