The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) needs to ensure the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies
- Hands-on experience with test case management tools
- Knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
- Background in performance/load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Experience with data validation, API testing, and database QA (SQL, Postman, etc.)
- Knowledge of aviation operations or FAA system environments
Responsibilities
- Help ensure modernization initiatives and deployed solutions deliver on performance, compliance, and safety.
- Review business, technical, and system requirements to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Conduct manual and automated testing of applications, systems, and integrations.
- Validate that deliverables meet FAA functional, performance, and compliance requirements.
- Track, document, and manage defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

- Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or or Associate’s degree and 14 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or testing roles
