Allison Transmission is looking to solve quality and reliability issues in the automotive industry by hiring a Quality and Reliability Intern to work on various aspects of quality roles, including warranty and issues tools development, structured problem solving techniques, data analysis, quality audits, and commercial industry customer quality expectations.
Requirements
- Proficiency with computer operation, including Microsoft Office tools
- Exposure to programming
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic technical concepts corresponding with school year
- Ability to read and interpret data and technical information
Responsibilities
- Key learning and development areas of quality with respect to warranty & issues tools development
- Structured problem solving techniques
- Data analysis
- Quality audits
- Commercial industry customer quality expectations
- Complete a specific quality project during the assignment
- Work closely with their assigned supervisor
Other
- No experience requirement – current enrollment in a 4-year engineering program with 3.0 GPA or higher
- Strong desire to learn about quality and technical roles in the automotive industry and ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well in a business setting and across functional areas
- Ability to work in a team environment
