Penn State IT is looking to improve the quality assurance process for their online education and outreach programs by hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst to evaluate, test, and validate systems, services, and/or software to ensure they meet defined requirements and standards.
Requirements
- Experience with test automation and cloud-based data services is preferred
- Proven experience in the use of Agile methodologies is desirable
- Strong foundational knowledge in SQL and quality assurance standards and practices is required
Responsibilities
- evaluate, test, and validate systems, services, and/or software to ensure they meet defined requirements and standards.
- supporting the development and maintenance of database solutions, including in-house and cloud-hosted systems
- supporting application-based services

- interpret requirements and prioritize business needs in efforts to provide feedback about quality
- interpret, organize, and prioritize activities to meet testing and project goals without compromising quality
- adapt test approaches depending on the context of the project and use lessons learned to improve future performance
