The Agency is looking to ensure quality of care of persons receiving services by investigating incidents, including Motor Vehicle Accidents and Moving Violations, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures and OPWDD regulations.
Requirements
- Computer proficiency preferred
- Valid and qualified NYS Driver's License required
Responsibilities
- Conducts investigations with a primary focus on reported Motor Vehicle Accidents and Moving Violations: Interviews staff and people supported; analyzes information obtained during investigation and completes investigation reports; identifies systemic issues and provides recommendations to the programs for corrective measures
- Manages and organizes incident records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Submits timely notifications of incidents and uploads investigation files to oversight agencies as required
- Delivers general and targeted training to agency staff on incident reporting and abuse prevention
- Communicates with oversight agencies and provides necessary information and documentation related to investigations
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested by supervisor
- Conducts investigations of incidents as needed/requested: Interviews staff and people supported; analyzes information obtained during investigation and completes investigation reports; identifies systemic issues and provides recommendations to the programs for corrective measures
Other
- BA or BS in human services field preferred
- 3 years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities
- Prior experience conducting investigations preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and prior experience training required
- Traveling to sites or offices for investigations or interviews (may include driving, walking, or standing)
