Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is looking for a QA Engineer to design, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards for worldwide distribution.
Requirements
- Background in Quality Tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC)
- Experience within an AS9100-certified organization a plus
- Advanced Quality Planning (AS9145) activities including development and on-going assessment of process failure modes and effects analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans.
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per customer contract and/ or source control drawing requirements.
- Perform internal Quality Management System and process audits.
- Develop standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of product and process.
- May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma).
Responsibilities
- Designs, implements and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
- Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.
- Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
- Provide technical support and assist in resolution of manufacturing problems, as required.
- Review quality trends to determine root cause, institute corrective actions, and verify effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
- Take a lead role in completing preventive and corrective actions, for both internal and external customer issues, using effective engineering judgment and appropriate root cause analysis tools.
- Plan, oversee and analyze process capability studies and gage repeatability & reproducibility (GR&R) studies.

- Ability to work independently to resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction and work as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interface with different departments within the company.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required
- Travel “as required” to customer site(s) to provide technical support and training.
