Speechify is looking for a QA engineer to help them succeed through testing mobile applications, given their exponential growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on iOS testing
  • Strong understanding of iOS app development and testing processes, including familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and the App Store submission process.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, such as Bitrise, CircleCI.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Experience with text-to-speech technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the Speechify iOS app, ensuring comprehensive coverage for both manual and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify, reproduce, and document issues and defects in the iOS app.
  • Utilize and maintain automation tools and frameworks for iOS, such as Appium, to increase efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in iOS testing and automation.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test summaries, ensuring they are clear, concise, and up-to-date.
  • Communicate testing results, progress, and issues to project stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and customer support teams.
  • Participate in agile development processes, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives.

Other

  • B.S. in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing and guidelines, such as WCAG.
