The Quality Assurance job family ensures the reliability, performance, and compliance of technology solutions developed across the AXIS enterprise. This function designs and executes testing strategies, identifies defects, and collaborate with development teams to uphold high standards throughout the software lifecycle. Their work supports innovation while minimizing risk, enabling AXIS to deliver secure and effective technology products to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing outsourced or offshore QA teams.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies (including agile), tools, and lifecycle.
- Able to communicate technical and testing concepts at all levels, including Executive Leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex metrics and analytical data to inform strategic decision-making and drive performance improvements.
- Experience with enterprise-level testing tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments.
- Experience in vendor contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Drive QA strategy (including integration, downstream, and regression testing) that aligns with enterprise goals, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
- Foster strong partnerships with product, development, and operations teams to promote a quality-first culture.
- Ensure outsourced QA partners consistently meet SLAs and KPIs through structured oversight and feedback loops.
- Deliver actionable insights through dashboards and reports that highlight defect trends, test coverage, and release readiness.
- Champion automation initiatives to reduce manual effort, accelerate testing cycles, and improve reliability.
- Select and implement modern QA tools that support scalability, integration, and continuous testing.
- Uphold QA standards and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Other
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Able to make decisions when faced with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- This role is expected to be in the office 3 days a week.
- There may be occasional travel to other offices.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, CST, CTM, PMP, or Six Sigma.
