Hewlett Packard Enterprise is looking for a Quality Assurance QA Engineer Staff to set and maintain quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes, develop, modify, and execute software test strategies, plans and suites, analyze and write test standards and procedures, maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software, analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action, develop tools and environments to automate test execution, and consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in networking domain
- 5+ years In-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards.
- 5+ years of Hands-on experience with wireless access point validation.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching concepts (VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT).
- 5+ years experience validating IEEE802.1x using Freeradius or similar RADIUS servers.
- Proficiency in 802.11r/k/v protocols.
- Skilled in wireless packet capture analysis and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain system testbeds using Access Points, networking devices, and servers.
- Perform QA validation of 802.11 wireless standards and proprietary features.
- Conduct end-to-end validation of client-to-cloud architecture.
- Recreate customer-reported issues in lab environments and collaborate with global engineering teams to drive resolution.
- Execute performance testing using tools like iPerf, ixChariot, etc..
- Partner with the Customer Support (CS) team to review defect reports and enhance test coverage.
- Log and track bugs in Jira, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
Other
- This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
- The expectation is that this person will work on-site at the Cupertino Juniper Mist office 5 days a week.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced, technical environments.
