The Quality Assurance Software Specialist is responsible for conducting ongoing monitoring of service quality and identifying areas for quality improvement activities in all Georgia Behavioral Health programs.
Requirements
- knowledge and ability to learn applicable standards for all VOA-Georgia programs.
- Must have knowledge and/or the ability to learn and apply CQL and CARF principles.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the implementation of Quality Assurance activities, as well as regulatory compliance functions.
- Provide on-site reviews of program sites and observation of service delivery.
- Provide internal file reviews.
- Preparing routine and special reports.
- Provide support and guidance to Program Directors and Regional Directors in preparation for internal surveys and external surveys/audits to include State Certification Surveys and Accreditation Surveys.
- Work closely with Program Directors and Regional Directors in developing program policies which meet federal, state, and local government requirements.
- Provide various training for staff as requested by the VP of Quality Assurance and Compliance.
Other
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, but master’s level is preferred
- at least three (3) years directly serving I/DD, Mental Health, and/or Addictive Diseases populations.
- Demonstrated skills in the following areas are preferred: program planning and implementation management; community relations; contract compliance monitoring; and oversight of an outcome/performance measurement system.
- Needs to have the ability to travel
- Must have excellent writing skills and be able to write concise, meaningful reports on observations and performance improvement plans.
- Experience conducting investigations is also preferred.
- Experience in staff training is also preferred.
