RHA Health Services is looking to solve the problem of ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies in their service delivery settings for individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and those facing mental health and substance use challenges. The Quality Assurance Specialist will help improve service delivery by identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are taken.

Requirements

  • Experience completing record audits, data analyst and writing reports preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Must be able to talk and hear.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts periodic audits of all service delivery settings, service records, personnel, requirements, and review of services for each person supported to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Observation of the implementation of Individual Services Plans (ISP) will also occur, along with assessing the condition of the home or administrative unit, and company vehicle for cleanliness, repair, and safety.
  • Completes an audit report of findings in a specified format to facilitate quality improvement.
  • Conducts follow-up audits to ensure needed corrective action has been taken for any identified issue.
  • Participates in the unit’s monthly Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) meeting, providing guidance in data analysis for determining trends and assisting in the development of a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to ensure that corrective action is specified and tracked to resolution of the issue/trend.
  • Provide ongoing training to the Clinical and Management teams in quality improvement, assisting with satisfaction surveys to determine strengths in service provision as well as areas that are opportunities for improvement.
  • Assists with projects, additional audits, updating forms, staff training, policy development and any other task that may be requested by the Director of QA.

Other

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service Field
  • Five or more years of experience with the population served.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Complete criminal background
  • Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
