Albertsons Companies is looking for a QA Technician to ensure top-quality products and maintain food safety in their Soup production plant, addressing the need for meticulous monitoring, testing, and adherence to high standards of quality and safety in their food production processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control in a food or beverage production facility.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
- Basic understanding of lab testing equipment and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished soups.
- Conduct quality tests, such as pH, Brix, and microbiological tests, to ensure products meet specifications.
- Monitor production lines to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
- Record and analyze quality data, reporting any deviations from standards to the QA Coordinator or management.
- Assist in the investigation of product quality issues and help implement corrective actions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and testing equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation of all quality control activities.
Other
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or coursework in food science or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, or overtime, as needed.
