Requirements
- Working knowledge in a variety of technical disciplines including electronics, mechanics, and programming
- Must be familiar with material properties, tolerances, dimensions, inspection equipment, and quality terminology
- Experience with hand tools and basic gauging equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) preferred
- Experience working in a production / Product development environment
- Must have working knowledge of PC software programs (i.e. Word, Excel, SharePoint, databases, email)
- Advanced knowledge such as constructing cell formulas, simple macro and query writing preferred
- Working knowledge of ERP and other business management systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Daily use of ERP for data entry, transaction history, disposition and material management
- Audit various parts characteristics per specification plans, may include but is not limited to: Receiving inspection of raw materials and parts, Production line quarantined parts inspection and disposition, Re-worked parts inspection prior to release for production
- Prepare Non-Conforming Material, Inventory, Scrap, and other reports as required
- Support production by teaching operators how to correctly use appropriate tools and other quality equipment
- Make recommendations for process improvements
- Perform sorting of non-conforming materials as required
- Verify final product meets documented specifications within established tolerances
Other
- Technical diploma or equivalent training plus experience required
- Must have a performance history of quality conscious work, good attendance and safe work habits
- Must have flexibility to cover other shifts when needed
- Must be able to manage conflict and solve problems independently
- Must have demonstrated organizational and leadership skills
