Beyondsoft is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to perform manual testing of software on client video and audio hardware devices, primarily HP/Poly, with client computers.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in QA testing (hardware and software, networks, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with software quality assurance tools and processes.
- Software and hardware testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
- Windows PC setup (software and hardware) experience.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, QMetry, Confluence, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Room a plus.
Responsibilities
- Executes quality assurance and test processes for portions of end-user applications, systems software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.
- Analyzes design and determines test and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
- Executes and contributes to portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application.
- Participates as a member of project team of other software quality assurance engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable and cost-effective testing and quality assurance solutions for assigned software portion.
- Sets up test environment and trouble shoots hardware, software, and network issues to ensure completion of test plans.
- Documents test results using appropriate test tools (JIRA, QMetry, Confluence, etc.) according to customer’s requirements.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Other
- This position has during Monday through Friday day shift hours, 100% on-site at the customer’s Austin, Texas, facility.
- This is a full-time, long-tem, benefitted position where the candidate must be located local to Austin and already be legally eligible for employment in the U.S. (cannot require visa sponsorship).
- Must have a strong competency in MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Teams, etc.
- Detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working within a team and can also work independently with little direction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
