Harvard University Central Administration (CADM) is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join the my.Harvard Portal Optimization Phase II ITCRB project to ensure the quality and successful delivery of software functionalities related to student enrollment, course search, advising, grades, and other critical academic processes.
Requirements
- Experience with Jira and the agile methodology for testing
- Experience using Zephyr for the creation and recording of test plans
- Experience with Campus Solutions or another large Student Information System
- Experience with python coding experience is a plus
- Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment
Responsibilities
- Independently perform work at an advanced level in support of software quality assurance and manual testing.
- Write and execute test scripts that align with features being delivered by the development team.
- Report defects to the development team for triage and resolution.
- Work within a team on all phases of software testing for the my.harvard Portal Optimization project.
- Collaborate with the product team to document test scripts based on functional and technical business requirements/user stories.
- Perform testing as software is migrated across environments to ensure quality delivery.
- Perform regression testing of multiple features after major releases.
Other
- Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience
- Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor
- Completion of Harvard IT Academy specified foundational courses (or external equivalent) preferred
- This is a fully benefited, full-time Harvard University position that has been funded through 6/30/27. There is the possibility of renewal, contingent on funding and department & university priorities.
