Viking Electric is looking to ensure product quality consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations by developing and maintaining robust quality standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in quality control within the electrical manufacturing or engineering services industry.
- Proven track record of improving product quality, reducing defect rates, or leading corrective action initiatives.
- Part Approval Process (PPAP) understanding and proficiency
- Post-secondary education in related field including certifications such as ASQ, Six Sigma, and ISO preferred.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met at each stage.
- Record inspection results to maintain traceability and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Support Sales and Supply Chain teams with expert advice on quality-related issues and compliance matters.
- Monitor product quality across the supply chain, identify root causes of defects, and partner with leadership to develop effective improvement strategies.
- Participate in quality enhancing initiatives, focusing on refining processes and eliminating recurring issues.
