nVent's Electrical Products Group, recently acquired from Avail Infrastructure Solutions, is seeking to enhance its quality management systems and processes to ensure safe and reliable electrical operations, particularly within the infrastructure vertical.

Requirements

  • Professional certifications like CQE, CQM, CQA, CWI are advantageous.
  • CWI certification and experience in writing welding procedures are highly preferred.
  • Experience handling state licenses strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and ISO management systems is essential.
  • Proficiency in enterprise software quality tools
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions to quality issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Quality Management System like ISO 9001.
  • Oversee quality control activities, including inspection, testing, and data analysis to address non-conformances proactively, new welder certifications, and continuity.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement strategies such as Lean Six Sigma to optimize quality and efficiency.
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning for supplier qualifications and new product introductions.
  • Guide and mentor a team of quality professionals, fostering an environment of growth through training and development opportunities.
  • Partner with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes.
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction by addressing quality-related feedback and complaints efficiently.

Other

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years in manufacturing quality systems and at least 2 years in leadership roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate quality standards and expectations across all levels of the organization.
