Ensuring quality control of the finished product and the production process, and maintaining and inspecting raw material specifications for Owens Corning.
Requirements
- Solid math skills, basic statistics knowledge
- Computer advance skills in E-mail, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Logic, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills
- Pivot table, formula writing experience in Excel
- Quality experience (Minimum 1 year)
- Manufacturing experience (Minimum of 3 years)
- Root cause analysis investigation
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods and checking for quality and that they meet necessary specifications
- Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment
- Perform product testing and tests on raw materials and finished product; enter data into AWAQS
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, communicate problems, find and implement solutions
- Perform test equipment calibrations
- Assist with the Nonconformance Product on Hold Process to help facilitate a timely disposition of product on hold
- Train Operations Technicians on Quality Test Methods in their areas to identify defects
