Gilbarco Veeder-Root is looking to improve the accuracy and completeness of quality data used by internal stakeholders, and to drive operational excellence across the organization through data analysis and continuous improvement practices.
Requirements
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g. Python, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or SQL) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Current student pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related fields.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with curiosity to ask “why” and dig deeper into patterns
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple quality and service systems (e.g., SMS, AX, D365, warranty databases).
- Perform statistical and trend analyses to identify patterns, anomalies, and emerging issues in product quality and service performance.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to quality leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Support root cause analysis efforts by providing data-driven insights into failure trends and warranty claims.
- Assist in documenting quality data processes, ensuring consistency, and improving accessibility of information.
- Collaborate with the Quality, Warranty/Claims, and Service Systems teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and data standardization.
- Prepare an end-of-year report summarizing accomplishments, key contributions, and outcomes achieved during the internship.
