Boston Scientific is looking to address quality issues in a dynamic production environment for their Nitinol Shape Memory self-expanding component product lines by hiring a Quality Engineer II.
Requirements
- Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab, etc.)
- Experience owning nonconformance investigations, process improvement and corrective action projects
- Demonstrated project management success
- Experience in medical devices, biotechnology or other highly regulated industry
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Identifies and implements effective process control systems to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
- Supports culture of continuous improvement by driving improvements to existing process controls.
- Proactively investigates, identifies, and implements best-in-class Quality Engineering practices.
- Promotes quality assurances, process controls, and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
- Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
- Actively engages with production teams across all 4 shifts to develop solutions to improve outgoing quality.
- Provides input and implements departmental or cross-functional engineering initiatives.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in engineering with 1+ years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education/work experience
- Self-starter with a proven ability to successfully work with minimal supervision
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner with high attention to detail
- Comfortable speaking to groups of individuals.
- This role follows an onsite work model requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.
