Lactalis in the USA is looking for a Quality Engineer II to lead Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory work in their Murfreesboro, TN facility, ensuring the safe and high-quality production of dairy products.
Requirements
- 1+ year of quality, food safety or related experience
- Ability to apply engineering principles and ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to apply the tools of statistics, problem solving and decision making.
- Understanding of product quality, sensory, sanitation and food safety
- 2+ years of quality, food safety or related experience
Responsibilities
- Provide FSQ leadership and direction through technical mastery in the areas of regulatory compliance, product quality, food safety, sanitation, ingredients, and defect handling
- Provide leadership and plant technical support for R&D, reformulations, and new product start-ups
- Develop action plans with Operations, R&D, Engineering, and FSQ teams to ensure product specifications, analytical procedures, and sampling programs are appropriate and meet system capability and key consumer requirements
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Sanitation and Engineering to continuously reduce risk within the Yoplait Murfreesboro plant and lead food safety
- Build alignment and strategy with cross functional partners, lead risk assessments and root cause analysis activities for issue resolution.
- Ensure the execution and compliance of all Food Safety & Regulatory Matters policies
- Using Quality Engineering principles, collect, analyze, and interpret in-process and analytical data to make quality evaluations and recommend actions for improvement

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or food science
