Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking to improve the quality of its steel products, including hot-rolled steel, cold-reduced galvanized, and galvannealed coated products, by hiring an Engineer to support their Quality Management initiatives and address customer inquiries related to product quality.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective typing and data entry skills
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems
- 5+ years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Input steel routings into plant manufacturing systems
- Lead the disposition of held materials
- Provide support for Quality Management initiatives, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), corrective actions, and measurement device oversight
- Conduct data analysis to assess and improve product capability
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership capabilities
- Experience working in a unionized environment
