Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive problem resolution, process improvement, and technical requirements education to ensure material is delivered on-time, with flawless quality and at cost, and to implement cutting edge manufacturing technology to produce the latest in Turbine Airfoil coatings for new engine programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field
- RRCA and manufacturing shop experience desired.
- CQE preferred.
- Strong understanding of statistics.
- Certified Heat Treat Representative (AMS2750)
- Certified AS9100D Internal Auditor
- Trained in FAI review per AS9102
Responsibilities
- Eliminate customer escapes by identifying non-conformance drivers and implementing mistake proof solutions.
- Continually improve manufacturing processes and performance, drive scrap, rework, and repair dollars to the lowest achievable levels.
- Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of project quality plans to obtain annual reduction goals in Scrap, Rework and Repair (SRR) and escapes to flight operations.
- Improve internal and external manufacturing, inspection, and test processes to reduce and prevent defects and prevent quality escapes to our customers.
- Participate in Problem Resolution and RCCA Teams comprised of manufacturing, product and quality engineering and operations support functions.
- Implement immediate risk containment measures and systemic mistake proof solutions to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance at selected suppliers.
- Develop and deliver technical training to the inspection and operations teams

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 2 years of prior work experience in quality, test or inspection.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field or 2 years of prior work experience in quality, test or inspection.
- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
