The Boeing Company's Phantom Works team in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing for proprietary programs. The role involves assisting senior Quality Engineers with planning reviews, developing inspection plans for automated programs, resolving large-scale issues, and creating metric plans with cross-functional engineering teams. The goal is to ensure first-time quality and continuous improvement in the manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- More than 1 year experience in manufacturing or fabrication environment
- More than 1 year of experience using Excel to perform data analysis
- More than 1 year of experience compiling and analyzing process data, metrics and control statistics to continuously improve process capability
- More than 1 year of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Experience with AS9100 or other similar QMS
- Experience in Model Based Definition (MBD)
Responsibilities
- Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
- Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
- Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
- Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
