Airbus is looking to ensure quality and safety during production flight testing by resolving issues, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective / preventative action processes.
Responsibilities
- Assuring process adherence and effectiveness for the production flight test, including ensuring effective operational feedback loops to Process Owners and Quality Managers (e.g. risks, opportunities, KPIs, corrective / preventative action)
- Deploying Process Surveillance Plan, assuring quality of process deliverables and addressing non-compliance using appropriate methods.
- Collaborate with the Safety Management System (SMS) team to analyze operational data and trends, identify risk areas, and recommend quality improvements.
- Participate in internal and external audits (EASA, EN9100, etc.) and facilitate audit readiness and follow-up activities.
- Contributing to effective process deployments (e.g. communications, Process Support Documents, Tools, governance), driving Specific Reviews defined by the processes.
- Participating in ground and flight test events and ensuring the safety of personnel and assets.
- Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting flight data to identify anomalies, assess performance, and troubleshoot issues.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, Quality Assurance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 13+ years of experience in a quality or flight operations support role in the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, quality standards, and flight operations practices.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- 20%+ Domestic and International Travel Required
- Be flexible to travel in short notice and for varying, sometimes extensive periods.
