Requirements
- Experience working with customers and manufacturing regarding nonconformities, corrective actions, and audits
- Experience with root cause analysis and issuing corrective actions.
- Six Sigma/Lean deployment and process improvement experience (green belt preferred).
- Aerospace or automotive experience.
- Experience supporting new product designs
- Utilizes PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans) to identify and make recommendations for managing risk in product development.
Responsibilities
- Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for manufacturing products.
- Ensures that projects and/or process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
- Performs escape management procedures and leads teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances as well as implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for non-conformance and escape management, coordinating investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Partner with customers and manufacturing teams to resolve issues, manage rejections, and coordinate source inspections when needed.
- Reviews and makes recommendations for Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets.
- Collects and analyzes data for the development of quality strategy and programs to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
