Pentair is looking to solve issues affecting key measures like Quality parts-per-million (PPM), on-time delivery (OTD), and first pass yield on the assembly line by ensuring compliance and continuous improvement through an effective facility-wide Quality program.
Requirements
- Experience with Injection Molding processes and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and/or Advanced Product Quality Planning. (APQP) Tools are preferred.
- Working knowledge of key Quality systems, such as Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) and/or documentation/change control and continuous improvement tools, is preferred.
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current processes and process changes, identify areas of most significant impact, and develop improvement plans.
- Perform quality engineering reviews of design and manufacturing documentation for compliance with stated requirements, internal and external.
- Experience or knowledge in Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Drive the supplier, internal, and customer part qualification process through the production part approval process (PPAP).
- Identify and address issues that affect key measures, including Quality parts-per-million (PPM), on-time delivery (OTD), and first pass yield on the assembly line.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure that effective and timely corrective action plans (CAR) are developed to resolve internal and external issues. Implement containment and prevent recurrence through root cause analysis, utilizing Corrective and Preventative Action Plans (CAPA) and 8D processes.
- Develop and support Quality Management System (QMS) processes and ISO 9001:2015 certification.
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current processes and process changes, identify areas of most significant impact, and develop improvement plans.
- Perform quality engineering reviews of design and manufacturing documentation for compliance with stated requirements, internal and external.
Other
- Have earned a Bachelor’s (B.S.) degree in an Engineering, Scientific, or related field.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a quality position
- Previous professional work experience in a manufacturing environment (including internships). ISO or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, including an ability to lead cross-functional project teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Occasional domestic travel may be required (5-10%).
