Jabil is looking to solve quality related issues affecting manufacturing on global customer accounts by representing the quality function of technical support and serving as a liaison between Jabil Circuit and suppliers or customers.
Requirements
- Experience with quality tools, including PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans, 8D, A3, DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, PPAP, AQP, Audit, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Process Capacity, 3Way 5Whys, Risk Assessment, and Failure Tree Analysis
- ISO certification programs
- Experience in Lean manufacturing principals
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization
- Experience with inspection processes and inspection aids
- Experience with document storage and access systems
- Experience with corrective action tracking packages
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain QA plans and timeliness of global new product introductions utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization specific to the customer.
- Provide support for all quoting activities by participation in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.
- Evaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
- Support all global training programs specific to their customer by development and implementation of specialized training sessions for all applicable functions.
- Develop appropriate systems for document storage, access and review pertaining to global customer accounts.
- Review all supplies, internal, and customer discrepancies, coordinate and track the effectiveness of corrective/proactive action efforts.
- Conduct periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files; develop appropriate systems for document storage and access.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a closely related field.
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an electronics manufacturing environment
- Supervisory or some sort of Lead experience is preferred for future project/leadership opportunities
- Ability to work on-site at the Memphis, TN facility
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position
