thyssenkrupp is looking to hire a Quality Engineer to join their new manufacturing facility in Santa Teresa, NM, to improve quality and reduce escapes through continuous improvement projects and by ensuring all branches meet quality metrics and root cause analysis standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of inspection processes and controls
- Read and interpret technical prints and drawings
- Use PC tools such as Excel, Word, and data entry systems
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing facility
- Strong knowledge in quality science and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and root cause/corrective action processes
- 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing and quality control methods
Responsibilities
- Interface with all branches for quality escapes both internal and external
- Maintain quality charts, graphs and facilitate rapid root cause at all branches.
- Work on Continuous Improvement projects with branches to improve quality and reduce escapes.
- Meet customer requirements for quality metrics
- Interface with branch quality leadership on all quality issues
- Ensure all branches meet root cause and customer metrics
- Apply Six Sigma principles (Greenbelt trained/certified a plus)

- AS9100 auditor certification or willingness to obtain
