The company is looking for a Quality Engineer to evaluate quality control systems and production processes for electronics assemblies, investigate product failures, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve processes.
Requirements
- Experience or coursework related to quality control systems, risk management, or product testing.
- Familiarity with UPPAP core elements and their application in product development.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret production data.
- Understand and manage risk in product development through UPPAP core elements, such as PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate quality control systems and production processes for manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electronics assemblies.
- Investigate product failures or defects to determine root cause and coordinate product changes through the Change Control Board.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and investigations.
- Collect and analyze data around production processes, making recommendations for cost reductions and process improvements.
- Gain hands-on experience in developing, modifying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems for various materials.
- Collaborate with product design and specification teams to devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product reliability.
- Learn to perform Escape management procedures, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions for design problems.

- Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
