Emerson is looking to solve the problem of researching and testing various Intrinsically Safe Circuit protection concepts to ensure the safety of devices in hazardous environments.
Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School
Ability to work with mechanical and electrical concepts
Ability to perform circuit and design analysis
Knowledge of Intrinsically Safe Circuit protection concepts
Experience with Hazardous Location Certification Testing
Familiarity with product quality and design analysis
Responsibilities
Conduct Circuit Analysis
Product Quality and Design Analysis
Hazardous Location Certification Testing
Project Findings and Reports
Breakdown, test, and study different mechanical and electrical concepts of various products comparing the pros and cons of the different designs
Perform circuit and design analysis and present on how it impacts the safety of the device in a hazardous environment

Pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School (students of any class status will be considered)

Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN)
