Cleveland-Cliffs is looking to solve real-world problems in the steel industry through innovation and sustainability, and is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to create meaningful solutions.
Requirements
- Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or other related technical degree
- Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2026
Responsibilities
- Complete monthly safety inspections and safety observations for the Metallurgical Department.
- Work safely and assure plant safety policies are followed.
- Manage workflow in the mechanical and chemical test lab.
- Manage test equipment calibrations.
- Create new operating efficiencies to maintain the production, testing, and shipping of steel with a leaner workforce.
- Maintain Steelmaking spectrometer lab, calibration, and on-call support.
- Responsible for data-mining investigations with metallurgical grade performance, chemistry, scrap charges, etc.

- Currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program
- Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2026
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening as a condition of employment
