Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager 1 to lead a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Control Technicians in their Special Programs group. The role is responsible for ensuring all delivered products meet contractual requirements, on schedule and on cost, by developing and maintaining quality policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Root cause and corrective action experience
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality management systems
- Material Review Board experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
- Active Top Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policies, and procedures to ensure all delivered products are delivered to the customer on schedule, on cost, and fully compliant to all contractual requirements.
- Responsible for the review and approval of suppliers and subsequent interfacing with suppliers to resolve nonconformance.
- Responsible for reviewing quality inspection processes, work with operations on schedule completions, assist with customer audits review bids and proposals and provide advice and support to Program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments.
- Engages team members to ensure suppliers correctly identify root cause and implement effective corrective action using appropriate RCCA tools.
- Actively monitors nonconformance and corrective actions to ensure timely dispositions and corrective action responses.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR 3+ years with a related experience with a master’s degree
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing teams in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation and critical thinking skills
- Must have a proven track record of accomplishments with team development, or leadership
- US Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
