Eaton's IS AER FMC division is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to provide direction to the quality engineering function, leadership, mentoring, evaluation, and development of quality engineers, and to facilitate problem-solving and ensure coordination and communication of corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
- 5 (five)+ years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, medical device, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- 2 (Two)+ years of supervisory or leading teams experience
- Knowledge of Quality Control systems and techniques, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, including statistical quality control and inspection and investigation techniques.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes including acceptance testing, assembly operations, machining, welding, and measurement systems in an Aerospace environment
- Demonstrated use of Lean Tools and Six Sigma and problem-solving tools and techniques (8D, A3, 3-Legged 5 Why).
- Experienced in use of continuous improvement lean manufacturing principles and scrap reduction tools (5S+, Value Stream Mapping, PDCA, Standard Work, and Poka-Yoke).
- Experienced in use of AIAG quality tools to reduce variability and mitigate risk (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC).
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor performance against short and long-range plans to achieve quality engineering objectives.
- Implement short and long-range plans relative to quality assurance.
- Identify needs, and develop the quality engineering function.
- Develop or modify quality procedures, metrics and processes to achieve quality and on time delivery goals.
- Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality.
- Provide reports as required and drive corrective action and preventive action for timely and effective completion.
- Assure compliance with control phase of quality systems and initiatives such as internal auditing, statistical process control and testing.
