Midland Manufacturing, part of OPW, a Dover Company, is looking to solve quality assurance issues in their manufacturing operations by hiring a Quality Inspector to provide coverage of Quality Assurance Lab responsibilities.
Requirements
- Ability to use calipers, plug & thread gages, micrometers and other measuring devices
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions, and standard charts
- General knowledge/understand or some experience operating or programming CMMs (knowledge of PCDMIS is preferred)
- Ability to problem-solve individually or as part of a group as job duties require
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Prior quality experience in a CNC Machining environment is a plus
- 2+ years prior experience in quality inspection required preferably in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and verify requirements as applicable to production / Production Part Approval Process (PPAP )parts.
- Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing process capabilities
- Recommend and specify instrumentation, calibration and gauging needs
- Confer with others in the organization regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status
- Understand and perform to all quality regulations, standards and policies, including but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003
- Follow work procedures and ensure highest level of quality and compliance
- Work safely following all established policies and requirements
Other
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
- 2+ years prior experience in quality inspection required preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels of the company
