Requirements
- Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and diagrams
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Experience with measurement devices/tools such as calipers, height gauges, optical comparator, micrometers, scales and dimensional measurement systems
- ANSI/J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-620 latest revisions and ESD Electrostatic Discharge (preferred)
- Experience in mechanical inspections utilizing inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, surface plate, electronic and mechanical height gages, pin gages, comparator) (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspections, receiving and some final inspections, on panel/module/chassis level assemblies
- Interpret manufacturing drawings and diagrams for specifications to approve or reject units or systems for in process or final inspection
- Validate products and documentation for compliance with all applicable requirements
- Inspect electrical and mechanical hardware to determine if products meet acceptance or rejection criteria as identified in applicable work procedures
- Verify geometric dimensioning and tolerancing against engineering drawings
- Utilize measurement devices/tools such as calipers, height gauges, optical comparator, micrometers, scales and dimensional measurement systems
- Document non-conformances and photograph discrepancies
Other
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or an Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- One-year certificate in a quality related field from college or technical school (desired)
