Horton, Inc. is looking for a Quality Intern to help the quality department and facility meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI) by applying basic knowledge of production processes and mathematical capacities.
Requirements
- Demonstrate an ability in problem solving skills, including being able to identify, investigate and countermeasure manufacturing or supplier related technical and / or systemic issues.
- Experience with manufacturing processes for components.
- Experience with automotive components and functional requirements
Responsibilities
- Conducts process / product inspections as directed by the Quality Manager.
- Inspects product visually and using inspection equipment to verify conformance to customer requirements
- Conducting inspections of purchased incoming material using inspection equipment
- Interpret and record data
- Assists with maintaining gage calibration
- Collecting and organizing measurement data and other documentation to support customer PPAP requirements
- Assists with root cause analysis of non-conforming product
Other
- Currently pursuing a 4-year Industrial Engineering degree.
- Possess the ability to be self-directed.
- Able to build effective teams and the ability to work with suppliers, plant manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure the deliverables are met.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided now or in the future for this position.
