Polaris Inc. is looking to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards by hiring a Quality Lab Measurement Technician to conduct precise measurements and tests, working closely with manufacturing and design teams to improve quality standards and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a quality lab or manufacturing environment required, with specific experience in CMM programming and operation
- Proficiency in using lab instruments, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent documentation practices.
- Preferred experience with software such as Zeiss Calypso, Polyworks, or PCDMIS.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently without supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate measurements using various lab instruments and equipment, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Program and operate CMM equipment to perform detailed inspections of precision machined parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure accurate measurements and compliance with design requirements.
- Conduct routine measurements and analyses of product samples to detect defects and ensure quality.
- Analyze measurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of all tests, measurements, and results.
- Ensure all testing procedures comply with industry standards and regulations.
