BD is looking to ensure the quality of procured material, in-process production, and final products by performing rigorous inspections and audits.
Requirements
- Perform Mechanical Inspections using calipers, micrometers and gages and other mechanical inspection tools such as a CMM or Smart Scope.
- Perform Electrical Inspections using visual inspection instruments, multimeter, and basic mechanical tooling such as calipers or micrometer.
- Reading, writing and math skills to include working with fractions and decimals, conversions between fractions and decimals and percentages.
- Knowledge of established rules of metrology including basic working knowledge of geometric dimensioning tolerancing; ASME Y 14.5 - 1994 (GD&T)
- Basic knowledge & understanding of sampling techniques (ANSI/ASQC Z1.4-2003)
- Familiarity with Personal Computers and basic use of a Windows environment
- Smart Scope or CMM experience
Responsibilities
- Perform Inspections at Incoming/In-process for the Instrument Plant
- Plan and perform daily work duties, inspections, and tests under the direction of Supervisor/Group Leader
- Perform Mechanical Inspections using calipers, micrometers and gages and other mechanical inspection tools such as a CMM or Smart Scope.
- Perform Electrical Inspections using visual inspection instruments, multimeter, and basic mechanical tooling such as calipers or micrometer.
