Nucor Skyline is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure the quality of steel products and lead the steel industry in environmental responsibility.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in the steel industry
- 2 years of experience in a quality role
- Experience welding
- Ability to read blueprints
- UT Level 2 Certification - Currently hold or willing to obtain
- ERP System Experience
Responsibilities
- Performing and coordinating all UT/VT testing within the facility
- Reporting on progress of work in process, rework/repair orders, and production problems
- Preparing reports following UT/VT testing in accordance with order requirements
- Performing audits
- Utilize ERP system to assist with production reporting
- Performing equipment calibrations
- Work on shop floor to support operations as required
Other
- 2 years of experience in the steel industry
- 2 years of experience in a quality role
- Ability to work independently as well as in a group
- Willing and able to work off shifts (2nd or 3rd), not to exclude weekends and holidays as operating conditions require
- Bachelors or technical degree helpful but not required
