Responsibilities
- Receives, inspects and dispositions customer returned material.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Ensures that material in the nonconforming material system (NCMS) is segregated and dispositions are obtained in a timely manner.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Assists with the layout inspection for First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), tooling verification, set up verification and in-process inspections.
- Assist with the administration of the calibration system. This includes keeping calibration cycles up to date for gages/fixtures that are calibrated internally and externally.
Other
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and at least one year related experience working in Quality in an ISO/TS/QS manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successfully complete pre-employment screenings. These include: Background Check, Drug Screen, Physical Examination.
- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to push, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
