L3 Harris is seeking to improve the quality of weld inspections and ensure compliance with NAVSEA and AWS standards.
Requirements
- Proficient use of weld inspection tools, including weld gauges, NDT equipment, and micrometers
- ASNT Level II certification in Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) or the ability to obtain it
- Capable of interpreting technical data, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system a plus
- NBPI and NACE certifications preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) weld inspections
- Perform welding inspections per NAVSEA and AWS standards
- Oversee NDT resources across multiple facilities, providing support to sub-contract vendors, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Perform inspections of work areas and other quality assessments
- Review and finalize records at the conclusion of each work package for storage

- Must be a US Citizen
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance required
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) of welds, preferably with NAVSEA experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while promoting change within the organization
