Crossing Hurdles is seeking an AI Quant Tutor to assist leading AI research labs in building and training cutting-edge AI models by providing expert insights and data annotation for quantitative financial data.
Requirements
- Strong applied research and analytical skills with comfort using data sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or academic finance databases.
- Excellent critical thinking, modeling, and problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrated interest in AI, fintech, or data-driven innovation in financial systems.
- Familiarity with AI model training, data annotation, or related workflows.
- Expertise in Python, R, or MATLAB for quantitative analysis.
Responsibilities
- Use proprietary tools to label, annotate, and evaluate quantitative financial data and model outputs.
- Provide expert insights across quantitative finance topics such as algorithmic trading, derivatives, statistical arbitrage, and portfolio management.
- Collaborate with technical and financial research teams to refine annotation tools and data workflows.
- Review and critique AI-generated financial analyses to ensure accuracy and conceptual soundness.
- Design and evaluate problems related to market strategy, risk assessment, and quantitative modeling.
- Work independently, applying analytical precision and professional judgment to complex financial topics.
Other
- Master’s or PhD in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics with a quantitative focus.
- Proficiency in both formal and informal English communication.
- Professional experience as a quantitative trader, researcher, or financial engineer.
- Published research in notable finance, economics, or data science journals.
- Certifications such as FRM, CFA, CQF, or PRM.
